SPOTLIGHT ON… Author Advocates

You’ve written the book, possibly surviving on a healthy diet of caffeine and chocolate (oops, no, just me?), completed copious amounts of editing and re-reading, submitted to your publisher or online publishing agent and your book is live… congratulations!

But, now what?

How can you navigate the minefield that is the online/ebook phenomenon and actually get your book into the hands of potential readers?

The answers to that question are endless… set up social media accounts and spruik hard (tut tut, you should’ve had these going long before you pressed ‘publish’), set up teams of people to read and post reviews of your book online, sit back and let your publisher work their magic, join giveaways and blog visits….

If you’re feeling overwhelmed about how to get your book recognised and loaded onto ereaders, you’re certainly not alone. But there is an option that takes much of the stress away from authors and allows access to strongly established and recognised reader groups. I call this option, ‘enlisting the help of an author advocate’ and this week I have four great advocates to feature, starting tomorrow with Three Chicks & Their Books.

Come back and join me all week as these advocates share their best marketing tips for authors and explain how they can help you achieve your goals.
