Tell us about Miss Spelled:
Miss Spelled was my second novel and it was so much fun to write- I had no idea you could buy a magic spell on the internet! Lou Mercer buys a spell to delete the memory of a relationship from her nasty ex-boyfriend’s memory. However, not being a witch, her spell results in total destruction of her life, and loss of her new fiancé, the hunky Aidan. She only has one week to win him back before he marries Miss Wrong. It’s a race against time, against the past and towards a finishing line she doesn’t expect.

What inspired this novel?
We’ve all have events or people in our past that make us cringe, ones we’d delete if possible. Lou certainly has that with her ex, Hunter. However, I believe that all these events and people- even the toads we’ve kissed- were part of our journey to who we are today. They’ve taught us lessons about life, love and ourselves. I wouldn’t be where I am today unless I’d taken that particular journey, so there’s no point in regrets. (But it’s still okay to cringe!)

What are you reading right now?
I am reading Lily Malone’s most recent release, So Far Into You. It’s wonderful!  I love Lily’s novels.

Number one thing to do on your bucket list?
Travel to the UK and Paris. I want to stand in centuries-old castles and hear the ghosts of history whisper to me. I want to see a Monet at the Louvre, and drink French champagne in a Paris cafe.

Best thing about being an Aussie?
Living a life of security and freedom. We are so fortunate to live in a country not ravaged by civil war or famine.

What you want readers to know about the romance genre?
Romance can empower women – just look at the evolution of females in fiction. They’ve gone from hopeless damsels in distress to ass-kicking, career women who are independent and inspiring.  These are stories written by women for women.  I know that literary snobs thumb their nose at our genre, but romance and women’s fiction is powerful, thought provoking and insightful. Our genre challenges the status quo and enables us to grow. The book-snobs just need to open their eyes to the value and diversity of romance and women’s fiction.

What have you got in store for your readers in 2016?
I am currently studying full time at University so I am not doing much writing. However, I have a rom-com ready to go – it involves an imaginary friend who turns lives upside down. I love a little bit of the ‘what if’ in my stories! I hope to get that book out in 2016.

What were your big achievements of 2015?
Studying full time, working for my hubby and still baking school morning teas for my boys! My English Lit major means I’ve read books I’d never heard of before, and I am really pleased with the difference that has made to my writing. It’s very exciting to grow and push boundaries.

Magic Realism mixes with romantic comedy in this new novel from Sarah Belle about the dangers of internet shopping – and using magic to solve real world problems.

Lou’s life is perfect. She loves her job, her renovated house, and most of all, her gorgeous fiancé, Aidan. But when her old flame and Aidan’s school yard nemesis turn out to be the same person, Hunter Wincott, Lou’s life is blown apart. She must divulge her secret past, or have Hunter give it away. Either way, she runs the risk of losing Aidan.

In desperation, she turns to Google. A quick search turns up Majique, the Internet Witch, and a spell that will delete herself from Hunter’s memory. But something goes wrong in the casting process, and Lou deletes much more than just a memory. She deletes herself from her life completely.

Luckily, there’s a one-week window for Lou to get back to the life she loved. One week to win back Aidan, before he walks down the aisle with the wrong woman and ruins their shared dream of happiness. It would be easy, if only Aidan could remember Lou.
