AUSSIE MONTH with Maggi Andersen

Describe yourself in one word:
Determined

Tell us about what inspired Lady Hope and the Duke of Darkness–The Baxendale Sisters Book #3:
Names often inspire me and help me see a character more clearly before I begin to write. Hope is the irrepressible Baxendale sister. When travelling the Continent with her aunt she meets a Frenchman in Paris, and names him the Duke of Darkness. She seemed perfect to bring hope into the life of a troubled man suffering from a tragedy.

What are you reading right now?
A Whisper of Desire: A Disgraced Lords Novel by New Zealander, Bronwen Evans – it’s a great read!

Number one thing to do on your bucket list?
Visit my son in Singapore.

Best thing about being an Aussie?
There are so many things. The climate, the people.

What you want readers to know about the romance genre?
One of my readers put it perfectly. “Leaves you feeling great!” That’s what a romance novel does for me too. And we need a bit of that these days don’t we.

What have you got in store for your readers in 2016?
Book #4 of The Baxendale Sisters THE SEDUCTION OF LADY CHARITY plus Lady Mercy’s story. I am also refreshing and self-publishing my backlist. I have a cover reveal too!

What were your big achievements of 2015?
Publishing the first three books in the Baxendale Sisters series, plus self-publishing two other stand-alone novellas which became bestsellers. Coming third in the Emerald Pro Award was great too.

Lady Hope and the Duke of Darkness–The Baxendale Sisters Book #3
Maggi Andersen

In her first Season, Hope Baxendale attracts the interest of a powerful English duke, the husband all debutantes wish for and some will fight dirty to get. If only the handsome Frenchman Daniel Brienne, Duc du Ténèbres wasn’t distracting her from her course. Daniel shows little interest in marrying again, and surely, it is only the sadness in his deep brown eyes that pulls her to him:

Daniel yearns for solitude. When his very existence is threatened, he wakes to the possibilities of a life passionately lived. He knows just whom he wants in his future, but the weary hawk, the Duke of Winslow, circles. And is it fair to ask Hope to leave her family and her country for him?
