Describe yourself in one word:

Tell us about Between the Vines:
Set in beautiful Coonawarra wine country in the South East of South Australia, Between the Vines is the first book I’ve written that started primarily with a romance. Taylor Rourke is the designated driver on a hen’s trip and she is instantly attracted to Edward Starr, the guy behind the bar at the last cellar door of the day. Ed’s magnetism, sees Taylor pack up her going nowhere life in Adelaide and head back to Coonawarra, but will it turn out to be the biggest mistake of her life? This was such a fun book to research and write. What’s not to love about delving behind the scenes of a winery and sampling a drop or two?
What inspired this novel?
Setting is very important to me. Several visits to Coonawarra and Penola had my writer’s brain churning with characters and ideas to create a story set in a vineyard during the busiest season of vintage.
What are you reading right now?
Zeroes by Scott Westerfield, Margo Lanagan and Deborah Biancotti. It’s teenage fiction, fast-paced, a great page turner.
Number one thing to do on your bucket list?
A cruise and an outback adventure. Ooops! That’s two.
Best thing about being an Aussie?
Choice of lifestyle and environment
What you want readers to know about the romance genre?
It’s such a broad genre, as diverse as the interests of readers. There’s something for everyone.
What have you got in store for your readers in 2016?
My historical saga, Heart of the Country, is a departure from my usual rural romances but readers have embraced the story and I’m happy to say the follow on, Dust on the Horizon will be out in May. There will also be an end of year book, one dear to my heart but I can’t tell you about it yet. Stay tuned.
What were your big achievements of 2015?
Heart of the Country out in May and Between the Vines out in December made it a huge year. I was also on the road a lot, meeting readers, always a highlight.

She’s given up everything for love: it could be the biggest mistake of her life…
Taylor Rourke wants to change her impulsive ways when it comes to romance and not fall for any man on a whim, but then on a hen party trip to a Coonawarra vineyard, she meets Edward Starr. Gorgeous and charismatic, Edward is enough to make any girl give up her flat and job in Adelaide and move to the country.
So it’s something of a shock that when she gets there, Edward is nowhere to be seen. Not wanting to admit she may have made a mistake and return home in disgrace, Taylor accepts the job that Edward’s younger brother Pete offers her and throws herself into her work, keen to learn as much as she can about the wine trade.
Taylor is thrilled when Ed returns, but she quickly discovers he may not be the man she thought he was. Her growing friendship with Pete causes tension between the brothers who have fallen out over a woman in the past. That’s not the only source of conflict: Pete has a dream to save the family vines, Edward’s dreams lie elsewhere.
As the lies and deceit grow, matters come to a head in the vibrant and demanding vintage season. Will Taylor’s dream of a new life and love between the vines come true? Or is there only heartbreak ahead?
Set in the beautiful Coonawarra vineyards, a wonderful feel-good rural romance from best-selling Australian author, Tricia Stringer
