AUSSIE MONTH with Rhyll Biest
Describe yourself in one word:
Tell us about Unrestrained:
Published by Escape, Unrestrained is a story about a Teutonic god, a guarded recluse, some dirty pictures, and the spark of curiosity that leads to a dangerous attraction.
What inspired this novel?
I was at the airport and saw that someone had left their iPad at the security screening point. I kept thinking about it later, what if it had this or that on it? Not everyone password protects their iPad, I know I don’t.
What are you reading right now?
I’ve just finished Light My Fire by G.A. Aiken which I ADORED. Her writing is so funny and yet also emotional and sexy. And I loved the matriarchal society she built and her steppes heroine.
Number one thing to do on your bucket list?
Visit the slothpital in Costa Rica. Sloths are adorable.
Best thing about being an Aussie?
I love the horror our deadly fauna inspires in tourists.
What you want readers to know about the romance genre?
What have you got in store for your readers in 2015?
I may take a turn down paranormal/fantasy lane.
What were your big achievements of 2014?
Published my first full-length romance novel, established the Naughty Ninja platform, producing the regular Bookish Tarts podcast with Georgina Penney.
When the reclusive Holly Unthanks finds some very naughty photos, both the star—a muscular Teutonic god with some serious ink and a knack for knots—and the way he’s tied his lady friend to his four-poster bed, make her more than a little curious. But to get to know the big, built stonemason better, she’ll have to overcome his vengeful ex and her own inhibitions—and pray that the walls she’s built around her guarded heart and dark secret remain safe from a man who has a way with stone.
