Amy Rose Bennett delivers an emotionally charged Scottish tale in The Master of Strathburn, a fast yet consistently paced story filled with all the action and suspense you’d expect from a Highlander adventure romance.

Heroine Jessie Munroe is a courageous and feisty character who is as likeable as she is determined. She has a keen sense of trouble and how to avoid it (or at least get herself out of it!) which made for some interesting character and plot arcs.

Robert is a charming, compassionate, and gallant Scot who after many years in exile following his participation in the failed Jacobite revolution has returned home to seek forgiveness and a pardon. He is a flawed character yet so much better for these flaws.

The Master of Strathburn is an exciting and intriguing story of romance, Scottish history, love, and redemption. A must-read for lovers of Highlander romance.
