Build us a Story with Faye Hall

This was fun…somewhat hard…but fun.  So here is how I spent my $10:-

 

I spent $1 for Emotionally Charged Love Affair, because in Indulgence & Temperance, that is exactly what the story begins with.  Daniel & Beth are reunited in Rockhampton and immediately there is passion fuelled tension between them.

“Why did you send for me that day?” he asked, his words strained.

“I wanted to see you before I left town,” she muttered. Shaking off his hands, she continued unbuttoning his shirt. “Do you ever wonder what would have happened had your sister not arrived?”

Her hands slid inside the opening of his shirt, her fingers caressing his naked skin. Leaning into him, her lips softly embraced the sensitive skin of his neck, trailing kisses down to his chest. Feeling her tongue lightly licking his bare skin, he could hold back no more. His hands going to the sides of her face, his fingers entwined in her hair, and he lifted her face up to his, his lips hungrily taking hers.

 

My next $3 was spent on Conflict that Forces Personal Growth.  There is a lot of conflict in this book – from Hellfire clubs, to kidnapping and laudanum addiction, and also a cattle station stricken with rustlers, fire and rodents.

Stuart caught her arm as she went to run past him and to the men throwing buckets on the flames. “You need to stay back, miss,” he told her, his hands firmly gripping her upper arms. “The men know what they’re doing.”

She struggled against him. “I need to help them put the fire out,” she argued. “If we lose that hay—”

“The shed is already lost,” he told her, pulling her back against the house. “As too is whatever lay inside of it. Those men are only trying to stop the fire spreading and taking the whole house with it.”

Her struggles petered off, her eyes watching as her surplus feed storage went up in flames. “What am I going to do?” she asked, not expecting an answer.

 

Even what with all the hurdles Daniel and Beth are forced to endure, I was still able to spend $1 on Unbreakable Connection Between Lovers.

Lifting his hand, he cupped her cheek. “If it wasn’t for you, I may never have found my sister at all. You gave her back to me.”

She smiled, rubbing her cheek into his hand. “I would do anything for you.”

 

Lastly there was $5 left for a Happily Ever After, because that is what I enjoy most about creating my stories.

 

Indulgence & Temperance is Book 2 of the Sins of the Virtuous series.  It is a steamy, suspense driven tale of the sinful gluttony of one man, trying to destroy everything in his path, and the temperance of one woman trying to survive the harshness of the north and save her friend’s life.

He’s even more shocked to discover that the preacher controlling the town, and stealing from the townspeople, is his once business partner William Maxon. He’s convinced this man is also responsible for his sister’s disappearance. When he learns William has Beth picked out as his next victim, Daniel knows he must do whatever it takes to make her listen to the truth. But she has no interest in hearing anything he has to say.

Faced with losing the two women he loves, Daniel is forced to choose between their freedom and the possessions and wealth he has hoarded over the years. But even if he gives it all up, he still might lose everything.
