Tell us a little about your book:
My book is called, “Operation : Valentine,” and it’s a romantic comedy novella about dating in the modern world. It was heaps of fun to write and I hope just as fun to read. I particularly enjoyed creating the worst dates possible for my heroine. So be prepared to gasp, laugh and groan!
What does Valentine’s Day mean to you?
It’s a special day set aside to show the person you love how much you care about them.
Favourite Valentines Day memory? Best ever Valentine’s Day gift you’ve given or received?
I think I can answer both these questions in one line. I got married on Valentine’s Day ten year years ago which was very special.
What’s the appeal of the romance genre for you as a writer? As a reader?
Falling in love is such an amazing human experience. In your life time, you probably only get to do it a handful of times. For some people, not even that. But through writing and reading, we get to experience that wonder, discovery and joy again and again and again. I don’t think any other genre leaves the reader with such a good feeling at the end as much as the romance genre does.

“Once upon a time, there was a young girl called Sarah Dubert who needed to fall in love in six weeks …”
Thanks to food poisoning, broken dates, airport malfunctions and even death, Sarah Dubert has never had a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. However, this year she’s determined to break the curse and snare herself a man before Big V. Signing herself up to the online dating site soulmates.com, she begins eliminating possible candidates through dates at her favourite bar, The Blue Saloon…
Owen Black, the handsome new owner of The Blue Saloon, likes his women fast, experienced and temporary. A woman on a mission to find love – particularly one with a six-week deadline – would normally have him running for the hills. So why is he so uncharacteristically interested in Sarah’s search? And, more importantly, the success of her dates…?
