Hot Chocolate
Charlotte de Pace

She’s always been the good girl, but this trip to Italy will show Annabella that love and chocolate can both be sweet, tempting — and dangerously addictive.

When infamous playboy Alessandro De Costa entices Little Miss Sensible, Annabella Beaumont, to be his master chocolatier and faux fiancée, neither anticipate the deception — or passionate seduction — that will follow.

Annabella isn’t prepared for the limelight, the charade, the ‘makeover’, and she didn’t know her new boss would look like a gift from heaven with the devil in his smile. But she’s determined to succeed; her sister’s depending on her.

Now, as she slowly succumbs to the playboy’s charms, Annabella struggles with sweet temptation — as well as secrets that could ruin everything.

What AusRom Today thought:
Chocolate + an infamous playboy + a blossoming romance in Italy = a can’t-put-it-down read from one of Australia’s newest voices in romance, Charlotte de Pace.

She’s after a job as his master chocolatier, he’s after a fiance… While it seems their goals are misaligned, they are both extremely family-oriented and that provides enough common ground for their paths to be able to plausibly intersect.

The author weaves a passionate story filled with all the sensuality and seduction you expect from a hot-blooded Italian hero all the while providing great pacing and an unexpected twist.

It was hard not to fall in love with the characters and even harder to stem the intense chocolate cravings that this story inspires! Hot Chocolate is a delectably romantic read that we highly recommend.
