REVIEW: Tamsin Baker’s ‘Sienna’
Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives – Sienna
Tamsin Baker
Sienna knows that she’s got a good thing going with her boyfriend, Charlie. He’s attentive, loyal, and seriously hot. When he sets Sienna up with a very unusual gift, she’s both shocked and intrigued. But she’s worried as well – accepting Charlie and his gift will test all of their limits and the strength of their relationship.
What AusRomToday thought:
Tamsin Baker presents quite the polarizing character in Sienna; she strikes me as a character that you’ll either love or hate. This, in and of itself, shows the strength of Baker’s writing skill.
Charlie, Sienna’s lover, was well developed and interesting within the context of the relationship.
The story itself was incredibly swift and there were times where I’d have preferred less pace and more exploration of the characters and their particular circumstances and emotions. Certainly this would’ve given another dimension and depth to the story and Sienna’s position within the series.
Overall, Baker has created an enjoyable read that most certainly fits within the Secret Confessions series.
