AUSSIE MONTH with Nicole Flockton
Describe yourself in one word:
What is your background with regard to writing?
No technical background with regards to writing but enjoyed writing short stories in school (according to school report). Over the last twelve years I’ve taken workshops online and at conferences that have helped improve my craft.
Tell us about Bound By His Desire:
Bound by His Desire is my latest release and it’s the second in my “Bound” series. It’s a story about learning that the actions of your parents doesn’t define the person you are. It’s about trusting another person to be there when you need them to be there.
What inspired this novel?
Well it as the second in a series so both the characters had minor roles in the first book – Bound by Her Ring. The characters go to New York and I wanted to inject my experiences of visiting that wonderful city.
What are you reading right now?
Engaged at the Chatsfield by Melanie Milburne the prequel to The Chatsfield continuity.
Number one thing to do on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list 🙂
Best thing about being an Aussie?
The accent. I live in the US and people love hearing me talk LOL But seriously, it’s just the best place to live.
What you want readers to know about the romance genre?
It’s diversified. There’s something for everyone and it’s the best genre to be a part of.
What have you got in store for your readers in 2015?
I’m planning a new series and hope to have the third book in my Bound series out as well.
What were your big achievements of 2014?
Maintaining regular releases. I had five this year so hope to have the same amount next year. Which means I need to get writing!
Bound by His Desire
Nick Rhodes has been burned before, so when he hires a new assistant, he has one rule: no emotional attachments. On either side. Pamela Bishop is everything he needs in a professional colleague, and comes with an ironclad guarantee – she absolutely will not fall in love with him.
Pamela Bishop has only one goal in her new job: getting on top of the mountain of debts incurred through her mother’s medical expenses. Jeopardising this chance by falling in love with her arrogant, if handsome, employer is the last thing she would ever do.
But as the lure and romance of New York City surrounds them, and Pamela and Nick find themselves spending more and more time together, they can no longer ignore the attraction flaring between them. Nick has always lived by his own rules – can he learn to break them in time to grab this one chance at happiness?
