Friday Freebie –Ally Adams’s Team Lucas

What inspired this book?
I once worked for a national sporting club and I was also a WAG (player’s wife/girlfriend) for a few years. So I got to see behind the scenes and I decided to capture some of that fun into the Saints team series.

Who are the main characters and why will we love them?
Ah, you may not love Lucas to begin with, but hang in there ladies, he is redeemable. Lucas Ainswright is the modern day David Beckham… hellishly successful, tall, blond, rich, fit and in demand on the sporting field. But he’s had a hard childhood and a troublesome past which threatens his future. Physical therapy student Mia Carter is assigned to be Lucas’s minder. Her heart is in the right place, but she doesn’t put up with his bad behaviour. I’m hoping you will love them both by the end of Team Lucas.

For you, what’s the best thing about Fridays?
My husband and I always dine out, share a few wines, reflect on the week and then watch the football (AFL)!

What’s coming up next for you?
I have book three in the Saints series coming out in September—Team Niklas which tells the story of Niklas, the gorgeous German soccer star and the sassy woman he falls in love with. I’m possibly starting the fourth and final book in the series if my publisher, Atlas Productions, kicks me into gear.
