10 Things You Didn’t Know About… Christina Phillips

  1. If you could interview anyone, past or present, who would it be and what would be your lead question?
Alan Rickman, and I would simply ask him to speak…
  2. Your most played song/band?
Since having my Cochlear Implant at the end of 2017, I’ve been relearning how to *hear* music again. And it is completely fabulous! So I’m constantly playing all the music I remember from before I went deaf, and my brain is learning how to process it all so the white noise becomes recognizable. It’s amazing. I love it!
  3. Favourite genre of romance?
For a long time it was PNR and I still love reading them, but for the last few years I’ve been on a contemporary romance kick. I love sweet to sexy, as long as I connect with the hero and heroine, that’s the most important thing rather than the heat level 😊
  4. Favourite food?
I love the traditional Christmas Day dinner with roast turkey and all the trimmings. Of course it’s way too hot to do all that in the middle of an Australian summer but I’m not a quitter so we struggled through it for many years, until it occurred to me that instead of all the hot veggies, I could do salad with it instead! My other fave food is pizza. With PINEAPPLE!!!
  5. Favourite drink?
At Christmas, my daughter bought a bottle of Malibu. She hated it, so there it was, that familiar white bottle I was once so well acquainted with! I hadn’t drunk it in years, but I’m happy to say I polished off the entire bottle (along with plenty of Coke!) in under a month!
  6. If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I’m originally from the UK and most of my relatives are still there. So I would *really* love to be able to teleport, so I could pop back and visit them several times a month. That would be amazing. Although I wouldn’t say no if Doctor Who turned up in his TARDIS, either!
  7. If you weren’t writing, what would you be doing?
I sometimes wonder about this, but it’s almost impossible for me to imagine NOT writing, since I’ve written stories from when I was about six years old. Maybe I’d be tearing my hair out (although I do a lot of that anyway when I’m staring at the blinking cursor!) I’ve always wanted to be able to play the piano, so maybe I would’ve devoted time to that?
  8. Favourite quote?
Never give up! Never surrender! (Galaxy Quest)
  9. Tell us something about yourself that most people wouldn’t know…
    I’m allergic to prawns *cries*
  10. Most famous person you’ve ever met? Tell us about the meeting!
This is terribly unexciting, but when I was working retail one Christmas, the then PM (John Major) waltzed through the toy department, complete with bodyguards. I was so surprised I said “Hello!” and he said “Hello!” and that was that! I didn’t get arrested, either.

Cinderella and the Geek (British Bad Boys #1)
Christina Phillips

From Christina Phillips, a sexy, new romance with a hero you won’t forget...

I’m not looking for love or a Happily-Ever-After because I know how that ends. I just need to concentrate on my degree and look after myself. But there’s something about my boss, Harry, I can’t resist. It’s crazy since he’s so hot and smart it should be illegal.

And then, just like Cinderella, I have my night at the ball and a midnight kiss, and for a week all my sexy daydreams come true. That fake date changes my life in a way I could never imagine. It turns out, Harry wants me too.

But I’m off to pursue my dreams, and he’s taking his business to the next level. There’s no way this fairytale has a happy ending, but that doesn’t keep me from wishing for it.
