10 Things You Didn’t Know About… TJ Nichols
- If you could interview anyone, past or present, who would it be and what would be your lead question?
I have no idea. I enjoy reading biographies and hearing about people’s lives, but not everyone, even famous people, has an interesting story. I think an interesting first question would be “So, how did you end up doing this?”
- Your most played song/band?
*checks iThing* apparently it’s Birds of Tokyo and Adam Lambert…that sounds like an excellent concert somebody get on that.
- Favourite genre of romance?
Anything that takes me somewhere else, so fantasy paranormal and historical top my list.
- Favourite food?
Dessert…pudding, brownies, tarts, cake. All of it.
- Favourite drink?
Dark and stormy (rum and ginger beer).
- If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
Hmmm I grew up watching the X-men cartoon and have been waiting for my mutant powers to kick in ever since. Wings, freezing people, sucking the life out of them…I’m not too fussy. Through it would be nifty to teleport myself and would save on petrol.
- If you weren’t writing, what would you be doing?
I would’ve pursed art, I gave it up to do civil engineering and I regret that.
- Favourite quote?
“Just keep swimming.” Dory (Finding Nemo)
- Tell us something about yourself that most people wouldn’t know…
TJ Nichols is my second pen name 🙂
- Most famous person you’ve ever met? Tell us about the meeting!
I’ve met a few bands which is always fun but it’s not like there’s long to talk. It’s photos, signing and over. I’ve also met heaps of authors (occupational hazard).
Rogue in the Making (Studies in Demonology)
The blood sacrifices have brought rain to Demonside, but across the void, the Warlock College of Vinland is still storing and gathering magic, heedless of the warnings of the international magical community. The underground is full of warlocks who disagree with the college, but do they care about wizards and demons or only about snatching power?
With a foot in each world, Angus is no longer sure whom he can trust. The demons don’t trust humans, and even though he is learning more magic, he will never be one of them. He is human and only tolerated. Some demons would be happy to slit his throat. It’s only because his demon is powerful in his own right that Angus is alive.
Saka only has a year to prove that Angus’s people can change and that the magic taken will be rebalanced, but the demons want action. His affection for Angus is clouding his judgment and weakening his position in the tribe. Time is running out, and he must make a choice.
